Starpha

Starpha

Haifa, Israel

Starpha turns designing a product into a game, and gives what people make somewhere to be seen and sold.

People join in teams and are given a real brief. The app walks them from an idea to a finished physical product — materials, cost, a price — and what they make goes into a store inside the app where anyone can browse it. The designs people actually want get manufactured and sold, including on the counters of local shops around Haifa. Every product carries a collectible card.

Season 1 runs from 23 August 2026 with a closed group of Technion students. Signing up creates an account; taking part needs a place in the season.

What the app asks for

Signing in creates an account, and that is all the data is for. Your email address is what the account is: it is how you sign in and how we reach you about the season. Your name is shown to the people you are put in a crew with. Signing in with Google shares those two things and nothing else — nothing is posted anywhere on your behalf, no other Google data is read, and none of it is sold or passed to anyone. Location is read once, at the moment you scan a card in a shop, only to check you are actually standing there.
